What will you do?

• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions.
• Report to the President, collaborate with and assist a 15 person staff with broad HR and office functionality, and perform AR/AP with the capability to manage staff as the position progresses.
• Prepare, record, and oversee asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions, and identifying/resolving discrepancies.
• Work collaboratively with external CPAs to provide information and support quarterly compilations, or annual reviews/audits as may be required.
• Support senior management team with expense and profit trend analysis, cashflow forecasting, and the financial summary components of annual plans.
• Work with production clerks to process and maintain accurate part purchasing and inventory records; and with sales, engineering, and production employees in parts and project sales invoicing and collections.
• Assist President with payroll and benefits administration.

You’re a great fit if you have:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; several years minimum of general accounting experience with a familiarity of accounting principles, concepts and processes.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports, including skills in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
• Manufacturing and inventory experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent communication ability and the ability to connect with customers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.
