Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) Coordinator

Position Summary

The Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations and delivery of Housing Stabilization Services, ensuring that services align with Minnesota DHS requirements. This position is responsible for supervising HSS workers, coordinating client services, ensuring documentation compliance, and building community partnerships to support housing stability for clients with disabilities or complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

Program Oversight & Coordination

- Oversee daily operations of the HSS program to ensure quality and compliance

- Assign, monitor, and support HSS workers’ caseloads and tasks

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of DHS Housing Stabilization Services guidelines and updates

- Serve as the point of contact with DHS and MA systems for HSS program requirements

Client Services Supervision

- Review Housing Focused Person-Centered Plans and service documentation

- Guide complex cases and coordinate interdisciplinary responses

- Ensure timely submission of client eligibility, plans, and service logs

Staff Supervision & Training

- Provide onboarding, training, and continuous supervision to HSS workers

- Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations

- Ensure staff compliance with data privacy, HIPAA, and cultural competency standards

Community and Partner Engagement

- Develop and maintain relationships with landlords, shelters, housing authorities, and community agencies

- Coordinate client referrals and service collaborations

Qualifications

Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Health, or related field

- 2+ years of experience working in housing or supportive services

- 1+ year of experience in a supervisory or coordination role

- Familiarity with Housing Stabilization Services and Minnesota DHS systems

Preferred:

- Master's degree or Licensed Social Worker (LSW, LGSW, etc.)

- Bilingual or multilingual skills

- Strong organizational and leadership skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Cultural humility and trauma-informed care knowledge

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record systems

Schedule & Compensation

- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible as needed)

- Compensation: $24–$32/hour, depending on experience
