Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings including home health, clinics, and skilled nursing facilities. This role involves working with individuals with disabilities, geriatrics, and those on the autism spectrum. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing patients' needs and developing personalized treatment plans to enhance their ability to perform daily activities.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Provide therapy services in various settings including home health, clinics, inpatient facilities, and skilled nursing environments.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as speech therapists to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and strategies to improve daily living skills.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Texas
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders.
• Familiarity with geriatric care practices is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence in clinical decision-making.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $51.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
