The Field Service Technician will provide technical and logistical support for customers for Komline-Sanderson supplied systems and equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical start-up and commissioning tasks such as mechanical and electrical checks, equipment verification, and proper installation ready for operation
• Recording appropriate initial operations data, perform equipment optimization and tests
• Provide Komline-Sanderson with accurate equipment checkout and start-up and performance reports
• Provide field drawing mark-ups to Designers for "as built" drawing revisions
• Supervise and coordinate start-up efforts from all product lines and outside vendors to ensure system compliance within the scope of the customer’s performance criteria
• Supervise contractors and other onsite personnel to coordinate activities and inspect work-in-progress
• Implement operational requirements to ensure success during equipment trials and review specifications with the customer to ensure equipment compliance
• Implement job specific preventive and corrective maintenance programs
• Produce progress reports and site reviews for the Project Manager and Customer Representative, developing and maintaining punch lists to track outstanding items and deficiencies for project completion

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of previous field service experience
• Possess knowledge of process equipment control panels, motor starters, AC/DC drives, and instrumentation
• Experience with programmable controllers and operator interface terminals
• Experience working with mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals
• Proficient in the use of computers
• Ability to organize a project in a timely fashion that will also produce clear, complete, and accurate technical report
• Collaborate with others and working in a team environment problem solve
• Travel a minimum 70% to customer sites are required
• Minimum 3-6 months of pre-field training in our facility at Peapack, NJ
