Job Summary

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the daily operations of Burning Wok, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and staff performance. This role drives profitability, staff development, and customer satisfaction while upholding the restaurant’s brand standards and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and excellence in all service areas
  • Lead, coach, and motivate team members to achieve performance and service standards
  • Manage staff rosters, recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards, handling feedback professionally
  • Monitor inventory levels, ordering, and supplier management to control food and operational costs
  • Drive sales growth through upselling, promotions, and community engagement initiatives
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports for management
  • Implement and uphold company policies and procedures effectively
  • Collaborate with kitchen leadership to maintain menu standards and quality consistency
  • Resolve any operational or customer issues promptly and professionally

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in hospitality (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Solid understanding of restaurant finances, cost control, and budgeting
  • Current Food Manager Certification valid for 5 years (required)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
