Job Description
As the Branch Manager with Associate Refrigeration, you will manage purchasing and inventory using an ERP system. The Branch Manager will handle requests from sales representatives, generate purchases, manage intercompany transfers, develop vendor relationships, resolve disputes, and monitor goods flow. Additionally, the Branch Manager will maintain inventory records and handle special projects assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, hands-on leader with the ability to successfully meet branch performance goals as well as promote and encourage a culture of teamwork and development. To be successful you will also have:
- Fulfill sales requests, by obtaining price quotes, availability of material, and addressing any other sales related questions concerning products.
- Check status of open purchase orders, and provide tracking information when requested
- Keep inventory cost current by notifying the purchasing manager of any vendor price increases
- Check on-hand quantities on inventory items for sales, when requested, to ensure that items having low stock levels are physically available for sale.
- Purchase material to maintain regular stock levels of inventory and ensure that all material requirements are met.
- Analyze inventory by location to determine appropriate on-hand, reorder, and maximum stock levels as instructed by Purchasing Manager
- Follow-up with purchase orders placed to ensure the timely delivery of materials
- Review with the Purchasing Manager any issues with delivery, pricing, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or associate degree; preferred.
- 1 to 5 years of buying, accounting or in-depth clerical experience with a strong motivation to expand the purchasing area; required.
- Inventory control and logistics experience; required.
- Accounting software experience; preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with outstanding business etiquette.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and proficient in internet research for products and vendors.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and detail – oriented.
- Consistent and punctual in attendance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and a quick leaner.
- Adaptable and responsive to changing business needs.
- Collaborative with other departments and companies within the organization, and open to seeking advice and opinions from others within the organization.
