Senior Carpenter – Full-Time
Pittsburgh, PA | Monday–Friday | No Holiday Work | Residential & Commercial Projects

Shannon Staley and Sons is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Carpenter to join our team. We are a growing construction company known for delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects throughout the Pittsburgh area. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of construction tasks, including framing, drywall installation and finishing, roofing, flooring, siding, painting, and trim work.
• Oversee daily work on job sites and assist in coordinating crew activities based on project priorities.
• Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety across all project sites.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications; communicate issues or updates to the Project Manager.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members and ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately.
• Transport and handle building materials and operate company equipment and tools as needed.
• Maintain accurate field notes and ensure adherence to scheduling procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on carpentry experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
• Strong working knowledge of building materials, tools, and construction techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and job specifications.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a crew is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and job site compliance requirements.

• Competitive hourly pay: $26–$32 per hour, based on experience
