We are a property management company looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper who will take overall responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records for several affordable housing apartment complexes in North Carolina

Key responsibilities of a full-charge bookkeeper:

  • Accounts payable/receivable management: Pay accounts payable invoices.. Enters management reimbursement invoices. Oversee the accounts payable activity.
  • Bank reconciliations: Matching bank statements to the company's accounting records to ensure accuracy. This is done in the accounting software
  • Financial statement preparation: Generating income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements using Real Page Software
  • General ledger maintenance: Maintaining the general ledger by posting transactions and reconciling accounts. Enter accruals and amortizations monthly
  • Month-end closing: Performing necessary accounting procedures to close out the month, including reconciling balance sheet accounts and generating reports.
  • Compliance management: Ensuring adherence to accounting standards (GAAP) and relevant regulations

Skills and qualifications for a full charge bookkeeper:

Requiring a High School diploma and an associate’s degree in accounting is a plus

· Must have at least 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping for small business

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

· Proficiency with accounting software -Real Page experience preferred but not required

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and other departments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,354.00 per year
