The counselor will work directly with clients, many of whom are referred from court, probation, parole, or social service agencies. The role includes assessments, individual and group counseling, treatment planning, and compliance reporting with an emphasis on recovery, accountability, and reintegration.

  • Monitor and track treatment compliance and attendance, reporting to probation/parole officers as required.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and appear in court or staffing conferences as needed.
  • Collaborate with EMAGES team in interdisciplinary case staffing, quality assurance reviews, and program development.
  • Support the integration of restorative justice, trauma recovery, and victim empathy into treatment plans where appropriate.
  • Assist clients in accessing wraparound services such as mental health care, housing support, or employment referrals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • CADC required; higher credentials (e.g. associate degree, BA, BSW) strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of direct experience providing Level I/II SUD services, preferably with justice-involved or culturally diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with IDHS/SUPR compliance, ASAM criteria, and treatment documentation standards.
  • Experience with court-involved treatment, including fee collection monitoring and compliance with mandates.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and restorative community-based treatment.

  • Comfort working in group settings and facilitating curriculum-based interventions.
  • Familiarity with program evaluation metrics.

Work Conditions & Schedule:
