Moving Estimator (Residential and Commercial) Position Summary

The Moving Estimator plays a vital role in our success by managing client estimates and contributing to new client acquisition. Reporting to the owner, you'll enhance operational efficiency and deliver detailed, accurate estimates, enabling management to focus on business development and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-home and virtual estimates for prospective clients, offering accurate pricing information and move scope details.
• Build strong rapport with clients, fostering trust and confidence in our services.
• Maintain a 55-65% estimate close rate, effectively conveying the value and quality of Young’s Moving Services.
• Develop relationships with apartment complexes, storage facilities, and local businesses to secure referrals.
• Utilize and manage electronic tools for estimates, client tracking, and follow-up.
• Contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for estimating.
• Assist with occasional phone coverage and supply pickups/deliveries.
• Adapt to the evolving needs of a growing business and embrace new challenges.
• Performing quality team checks on a weekly basis

Key Qualifications

• Experience: Customer-facing or sales experience in estimate-related industries (e.g., moving, logistics, construction) preferred.
• Age and Driving Record: At least 23 years old with a clean driving record.
• Sales Mindset: Proven ability to achieve sales targets, maintain high close rates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills for in-person and virtual interactions; ability to build trust and resolve client concerns.
• Growth Mindset: Openness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational Skills: Outstanding time management and organization; ability to handle multiple estimates and appointments daily.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with digital tools and systems; CRM or estimate software experience a plus.

• Work Schedule: Flexible hours; availability for in-home estimates and occasional on phone coverage.
• Compensation: Performance-based compensation package, including potential raise after the 90-day trial period.
• Target Start Date: July 7th, 2025
