Position Summary

Garrett Popcorn Shops is looking for a National Account Manager to become an integral part of the Garrett Ready-To-Eat channel expansion. The ideal candidate has strong existing relationships, experience managing multiple classes of trade, and knows what is needed to create growth and gain market share in this dynamic market segment. The NAM should have a track record of leadership, directly closing retail distribution deals, and developing go-to market strategies. The selected candidate will be a key team member responsible for the growth and execution of this channel across Grocery, Specialty, Drug, Mass, and C-store channels. The NAM will work and partner with the SVP of Sales as well as executive leadership to build strategic growth plans, identify national account targets and help lead the formation and management of strategic relationships, including Broker and Distributor networks.  The NAM’s primary focus will be on achievement of account-specific goals including volume and trade objectives, forecast accuracy, promotional execution, distribution targets, new item speed to shelf, SRP management, and retail execution.

Key Responsibilities

·         Manage existing business throughout the market

·         Develop new business including FDM+, specialty and C-Store with insights on taking specific retailers and channels direct or through new and existing distributor partners

·         Work consistently and daily with broker network

·         Deliver innovative, fact-based solutions and thought leadership to the company

·         Focus on achievement of assortment, price, merchandising, promotion, and trade

·         Customer P&L management

·         The ability to forecast accurately for a dynamic category and innovation working closing with Demand Planning, Category, and SC teams

·         Develop and deliver customer plans to achieve objectives within budget providing short & long-term solutions through best practices

·         Present plans and objectives quarterly to VP of Sales and annually to company

·         Collaborate with Garrett internal teams, specifically Marketing and Category to align with brand and category objectives and develop go-to-market retail strategy

·         Collaborate with Finance and Garrett internal teams to manage deductions, invoice accuracy, and efficient/timely payments

·         Accountable for contract and promotion management, new item setup, sales analysis, and financial analysis

·         Attend and support trade shows including Expo West and Sweets & Snacks

 

What you’ll bring to Garrett

·         Expert knowledge of concepts within the sales function and basic knowledge in other areas, such as sales operations, supply chain, and marketing

·         Working knowledge of trade promotion management and customer and business impacts

·         Ability to lay out practical and logical assortment plans based on retail space, inventory turn, and sell through

·         Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence outcomes with both internal and external contacts

·         Proven background that reflects being results and solution oriented

·         A winning attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, negotiating skills, and teamwork

 

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent work experience

·         Minimum of 6-10 years of CPG experience in Sales and Account Management

·         Minimum of 4 years of experience working with National Accounts, preferred not required

·         Understanding of CPG industry sector and competitive landscape

·         Excellent verbal, written, and negotiating skills

·         Strong presentation skills, required

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, required

·         Ability to apply financial data to make decisions and influence outcomes

 

·         Compensation:   The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $165,000. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience.  Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance; Employer paid Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance; Employer paid life insurance and eligibility to participate in the company 401(k) plan with annual discretionary match.   Garrett has both Hybrid and Remote work options; this position is eligible for both options.
