We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice. The ideal candidate will assist in both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure high-quality patient care and smooth daily operations. Prior experience in podiatry or a strong willingness to learn foot and ankle-related procedures is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for podiatric exams and procedures

• Obtain and record patient vitals, medical history, and foot/ankle complaints

• Assist the podiatrist with routine foot care, minor surgical procedures, and orthotic fittings

• Take and develop foot and ankle X-rays (if certified)

• Apply and remove dressings, bandages, and post-procedure footwear

• Perform wound care, trimming of nails, and debridement assistance under supervision

• Educate patients on foot care, medication usage, and post-treatment instructions

• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and exam areas

• Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

• Certification (CMA, RMA) preferred but not required

• Experience in a podiatry or surgical setting is a plus

• Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Medisoft, Aprima, eClinicalWorks, Practice Fusion)

• Excellent communication and multitasking skills

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
