Surgical Physician Assist. (PA) or Advanced Practice Nurse – Registered Nurse First Assistant (APN-RNFA) – Wayne, NJ
Summary
Centers for Neurosurgery, Spine, and Orthopedics is a well-established, multi-specialty, physician-led group currently seeking an experienced PA or APN-RNFA The perfect candidate will be motivated to practice compassionate care beside exceptional neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons.
CNSO is affiliated with state-of-the-art hospitals and provides consultations at office locations throughout Northern New Jersey. Each location offers pain management and physical therapy for comprehensive neurological & musculoskeletal care.
Job description
In this role, the Midlevel will assist in spine surgery and brain surgery. Other responsibilities include the evaluation and management of patients in the clinical office and hospital settings to include, providing a treatment plan for the physicians’ approval, participating in pre- and post-operative patient care, reviewing radiographic imaging, prescribe treatments and medications, plus work collaboratively with pain management physicians and physical therapy specialists.
CNSO provides extensive, in-depth training and mentoring for this position. The ideal Midlevel after orientation and training will work with a great degree of independence yet always have easily accessible neurosurgeons or orthopedic spine surgeons that will educate and provide guidance. This person will be joining a team of highly experienced Midlevel providers along with a well-organized team of multiple neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons, and pain management specialists.
Responsibilities:
● Full time
● Clinical Office/Scheduled surgery days are Monday through Friday
● If interested in Call, Call is home-based, every 3 to 4 days and one weekend per month.

Qualifications
● Master’s degree
● Graduate of an accredited (ARC-PA) program or APN-RNFA
● Active/Unrestricted License in State of New Jersey
● Active/Unrestricted DEA/CDS
● Current NCCPA Certification
● Current BLS/ACLS certification
● >1 year of experience in any of the following specialties: neurosurgery, spine surgery
