Automobile Service Technician

Growing, prestigious, established leader in the Vehicle Service industry has an opportunity for an experienced Service Technician with strong diagnostic skills and ASE Certifications. The qualified individual will be responsible for the mechanical, electronic and electrical work on General Motors automobiles and trucks. Minimum of Three (3) years of experience servicing these types of vehicles and excellent customer service skills may qualify you for this position. ASE Certified preferred.

Essential Functions:

·         Diagnose vehicles to include mechanical, electrical, electronic, controls, emission, hydraulics and engine systems

·         Recommend needed parts and service to the appropriate party

·         Proactively examine possible wear and damage to parts and communicate to customers any potential repair issues

·         Performs routine and preventative maintenance including oil changes, tune ups, and inspections

·         Complete all scheduled work orders within the time commitment to the job and customer

·         Provide error-free service and repair

·         Consistently follow all safety standards to ensure a safe, clean and accident free work environment

Essential Qualifications:

·         Verifiable three (3) plus years of experience in the advanced diagnosis, service and repair of General Motors vehicles is required

·         ASE/DOT certified technician is preferred

·         Electrical and wiring experience

·         Experience with General Motors  automobiles and trucks   

·         Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

·         Proven experience meeting and exceeding service and productivity requirements

·         Ability to pass DMV and drug verifications in order to road test and verify diagnoses and repairs

·         High school diploma required

·         Training from trade, vocational or industry schools is preferred
