CNC Surface Grinder Operator

A small but growing custom tooling shop in Twinsburg, OH is seeking an experienced and versatile CNC Surface Grinder Operator to join our skilled team. With over 45 years in the industry, we are known for producing the highest-quality tools in our niche market. Now under family ownership and operating out of a clean, air-conditioned, and well-organized facility, we continue to expand our capabilities and product offerings.

What we can do for YOU:

• Pay: $21-30+/hr
• Shift: Training on 1st shift (6am-4pm) and then go to 2nd shift (8pm-6am) Mon-Thurs. Flexible with 2nd shift hours!

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed bench work to assemble, finish, and fit precision tooling components
• Operate CNC surface grinders (Fanuc O-M and conversational) when needed
• Devise machining and finishing strategies for complex geometries
• Set up and inspect workpieces using standard and custom gages
• Modify G-code and existing CNC programs as needed
• Collaborate with engineering and fellow machinists to meet tight tolerances and design specs
• Safely operate a forklift or overhead crane to handle materials

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong background in precision surface grinding or other toolroom equipment
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints
• Working knowledge of CNC controls and wheel dressing
• Experience with CAD or CAM software (a plus)
• Welding or manual milling experience (a plus)
