We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Short Order Cook to become an integral part of our small yet vibrant community café and general store.  Do you excel in a bustling kitchen environment? Like working directly with hungry customers?  Good working in a team environment?  

Primary Responsibilities:

• Skillfully prepare and cook a diverse menu of breakfast and lunch items, including fluffy eggs, gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, and special daily offerings that will impress our clientele.

• Ensure that the kitchen is kept immaculate, organized, and operates in compliance with all health and safety regulations to guarantee a secure dining experience.

• Work efficiently during busy hours, managing multiple orders while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

• Collaborate with a dedicated team to foster a friendly and welcoming environment that reflects our commitment to the community.

• Assist with inventory management, food preparation, and daily kitchen tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a short order cook role or a similar culinary position is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting while handling a variety of orders.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
