About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join a fast-paced, engineering-led culture. You’ll own and build backend systems that power millions of API calls, working with a modern tech stack that includes Python, C#/.NET Core, AWS (EKS, Lambdas, DynamoDB, Kafka, Postgres, SQS/SNS).

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, cares about clean code and scalable architecture, and is excited to work at the intersection of social and finance.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Python, C#, and .NET Core

• Scale and optimize cloud infrastructure using AWS (EKS, Lambda, Postgres, DynamoDB, Kafka, SNS/SQS)

• Partner with product and engineering teams to deliver seamless user experiences

• Anticipate scaling bottlenecks and lead technical planning efforts

• Own end-to-end development of core platform features—from architecture to deployment

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience (ideally in fast-moving startups)

• Proficient in Python and open to working in C#

• Strong background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (especially AWS), and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch)

• Experience working with microservices, gRPC/REST APIs, and databases like Postgres and DynamoDB

• Previous experience in fintech, trading platforms, or brokerage systems is a plus

• Curious, collaborative, and driven to ship high-impact features

Other Details

• Location: NYC-based; hybrid schedule (3+ days/week in office)

• Must be comfortable working in both legacy and greenfield codebases

• Looking for builders, not title-chasers—you’ll play a critical role from day one
