MasterMold is seeking a skilled Controls & Robotics Engineer to support and advance our automation initiatives in a high-paced manufacturing environment. This role will focus on programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing FANUC robots, while also managing and integrating ABB and Siemens PLC control systems. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, analytical, and passionate about driving process efficiency through automation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Program, debug, and optimize FANUC robotics systems for applications such as material handling, assembly, and finishing.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC logic and HMI interfaces using ABB and Siemens platforms.
• Integrate robots with safety systems, sensors, conveyors, and auxiliary automation equipment.
• Lead or support automation projects from concept to production, including design, commissioning, and documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure up-time, safety, and continuous improvement of automation systems.
• Conduct cycle time analysis and implement robot path optimization strategies.
• Maintain and update electrical schematics, robot backups, and programming documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., RIA, OSHA, ISO).

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience programming and maintaining FANUC robots in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong working knowledge of ABB and Siemens PLC systems.
• Experience with robotic cell layouts, safety devices, and integration with control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use CAD for panel or layout design is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with vision systems
• Exposure to SCADA or MES software programs.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems in automation environments.
