Grahovac Construction Company is looking for a qualified, seasoned Commercial Construction Project Manager / Estimator to join our team and expand with us as our company continues to grow!
We are a General Contractor and our company has been in business for 40 years performing commercial, industrial, and public works construction. We take immense pride and ownership in what we do and are seeking for a professional team member that shares the same values.
Job Duties & Responsibilities listed below are REQUIRED and MUST be performed with accuracy and timeliness
- Need ability to read, analyze, understand and interpret constructions blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Experience in preparing and writing cost estimates; change order estimates and negotiate cost proposals.
- Establish budgets and project schedules.
- Ability to breakdown construction operations into a logical sequence of activities.
- Reviews construction documents, understands and prepares/write detailed scopes of work to bid.
- Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
- Subcontractor Management
- Actively build subcontractor/supplier database and relationships to ensure the best pricing.
- Negotiate, award and write subcontracts and material purchase orders.
- Monitor and control all project change orders, RFI’s and submittals.
- Monitor Superintendents adherence to project schedule and safety requirements.
- Must possess strong mathematical and computer skills. Proficiency with all of MS Office products, Scheduling, Procore and Estimating software.
Required experience & knowledge in Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, eBuilder, Procore
- Clear understanding of contract requirements.
- Public works/Government project experience is preferred.
- Capable of performing value engineering.
- Ability to project manage and work with onsite superintendents developing schedules, submittals, ordering materials and coordinating sub-contractors.
- Participates actively to develop efforts to identify and track client and new project pursuits.
- Ability to work in a team environment and fit in with company procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills working with clients, architects and subcontractors.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and values that are above-reproach.
- Personable, professional with leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Elevated level of enthusiasm, organizational and effective professional oral and written communicative skills.
- Ability to professionally work in a fast-paced environment maintained by a company in a positive, controlled growth mode.
- Ability to work the hours required to support the role of Project Manager/Estimator.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.
- Field experience is beneficial.
