Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in operating various machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards. This role is essential in maintaining efficiency and precision within our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Read traveler and drawing packets to determine requirements such as material selection, measurements, and specified dimensions/tolerances.
• Examine work pieces and accurately measure them using a straightedge, measuring tape, and combination square.
• Fabricate various metal thicknesses and different categories of steel according to production specifications.
• Maintain equipment daily as instructed, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid knowledge of fundamental machining practices including grinding, milling, and lathe work.
• Experience in precision inspection of tools, jigs, and dies to ensure work quality and compliance with specifications.
• Ability to work effectively under immediate supervision, typically reporting to a supervisor or manager.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
