We are seeking an experienced Appian development professional with at least 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality solutions. To be considered, you must have demonstrated expertise in all of the following areas, which must have been showcased within the past 4 years or more:

• Database expertise: Proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing databases (SQL, NoSQL, relational, or distributed databases)

• System architecture: Expertise in designing and implementing scalable and secure system architectures

• Documentation and knowledge sharing: Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, APIs, and procedures

• Code quality and collaboration: Proven track record of documenting codebase changes and best practices

• Technical communication: Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Business requirements translation: Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and implementing them effectively

• Leadership and mentorship: Demonstrated leadership skills, including training junior and senior developers in best practices and providing mentorship and conducting code reviews

• Full-stack development: Proficiency in full-stack development (e.g Java Springboot/Tomcat, C#/.Net), with experience in Appian plugins, third-party integrations, or on-premises installs (Appian SAIL low-code itself is not considered full-stack)

Certification Requirements

• A valid Appian Certificate at Level 3/Lead. (This certification can be substituted with 2 years of experience that overlaps with required experience.)

  • Alternatively, 1 year of Appian experience and a Level 2/Senior certification can be considered, provided the experience overlaps.

of delivering high-quality solutions. Key responsibilities include:

- Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Appian applications to

ensure optimal performance and adherence to best practices

- Leading the development team through regular code reviews, knowledge-sharing

sessions, and hands-on guidance

- Taking ownership of complex development tasks with minimal supervision,

delivering results-driven solutions

- Collaborating closely with senior leaders to identify business needs, scope

Appian solutions, and design effective solutions that meet client expectations

- Troubleshooting and resolving performance, integration, and application

defect issues to ensure seamless execution and resolution

Appian Skills

In addition to the key responsibilities above, we value experience in the

following areas:

• Cross-industry expertise: Demonstrated ability to work across diverse industries, leveraging knowledge to inform project planning, execution, and delivery

• Appian object design: In-depth understanding of Appian architecture, SAIL, process models, CDTs, and integrations

• Plugin development: Experience designing and developing Appian plug-ins, CDTs, web APIs, and security frameworks

• Database integration: Strong experience working with databases and integrating them into Appian applications

• Problem-solving and testing: Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks and deliver high-quality results

• Team leadership and guidance: Prior experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers within a team environment

• Quality assurance: Ability to write robust test cases for Appian expression rules and review existing test cases, ensuring thorough testing and quality Assurance

• Required to lift up to 15 pounds.

Salary Range

- Salary will be determined based on factors such as relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, competencies, and other relevant information. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000.

Location

• This is a fully remote position with headquarters located in Gainesville, FL. Occasional travel may be required.

• US citizenship is required and a Public Trust Clearance must be obtained and maintained throughout employment.
