PART-TIME YOUTH MINISTER AND WORSHIP LEADER LISTING

First Baptist Church of Murphy is looking for a talented and servant hearted person to join our church and serve part-time as our Youth Minister and Worship Leader. This position requires a blend of spiritual maturity, strong leadership, and musical talent. In the role of Youth Minister, you will provide a well-balanced program for youth that will seek to win the lost to Christ and to help those who are Christians to mature in Christ, discovering the personal gifts and abilities with which God has blessed them. The one word that describes and entails the concept of youth ministry is the word “discipleship”. You would also receive discipleship through the mentoring of our other pastors. In the role of Worship Leader, you will collaborate with the pastor, and the worship and technical teams to prayerfully plan and execute worship services that honor God and prepare the congregation for the truth of His Word. Youth Minister Responsibilities & Duties

●      Develop, promote, and coordinate a balanced program of outreach, activities, and discipleship ministry for our youth.

●      Enlist FAITHFUL men and women youth workers from the adult congregation.

●      Be an active member of the Church Council.

Worship Leader Responsibilities & Duties

●      Prayerfully plan and lead worship in a way that aligns with the church's vision and theology.

●      Coordinate and lead rehearsals with worship team members for weekly services and special events.

●      Collaborate with pastors and other church staff to integrate the worship service theme.

●      Maintain and manage musical equipment and supplies.     
                                                                                           

Qualifications & Skills

●      Professed Christian faith and active involvement in a church

●      Theology that aligns with the Bible and The First Baptist Church of Murphy

●      Proficiency in playing a musical instrument, such as guitar or piano

●      Strong communication, organization, and planning skills

●      Ability to work collaboratively with others as well as manage and lead a team

●      Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
