Job Title: Territory Sales Representative – North Metro

This position will oversee our North Metro Territory. This territory includes the north metro and extends up through north-eastern Minnesota including Duluth and the Iron Range. This territory is home to wonderful scenery and attractions including Springbrook Nature Center, Voyageurs National Park, Hinckley Fire Museum, Canal Park, and the North Shore!

Position Description:

As the Territory Sales Rep for the North Metro, you will be responsible for the sales and marketing of truck and van equipment within the assigned territory. The goal is to increase business from existing accounts and generate new business through prospecting, cold calls, and marketing. This position requires calling on current and potential customers in the territory assigned which include municipal agencies, new & used truck and van dealerships, fleets & leasing companies, and end users of North Central Upfitting Product Lines.

This position has a base salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
This position is eligible for sales commission as well as bonus opportunities.

Essential Functions

  • Sales & Marketing: drive sales growth by managing leads, acquiring new business, creating quotes, and maintaining customer relationships through personal visits, cold calls, marketing initiatives, trade events, and collaboration with the Truck Equipment Sales Manager on strategic planning and outreach
  • Customer Relations: foster strong customer relationships by collaborating with inside sales and service teams to expedite solutions, support install techs with clear expectations, and maintain respectful and proactive communication with customer and team members
  • Other duties: assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisor and leadership team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Excellent organizational and note taking skills

Required Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years sales experience in related industry
  • Valid Class D Driver’s License

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with commercial truck & van equipment
  • Associate’s Degree in Sales & Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years sales experience in related industry
