Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and assisting in the management of accounting functions.

Responsibilities

Manage the P&L and Balance Sheet, which includes:

  • Participate in the day-to-day accounting function, including month end close, revenue, inventory, cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable.
  • Review of standalone financials.
  • Analyze fluctuations and trend of the financials and be able to identify potential misstatements.
  • Monitor invoices submitted by the business units for proper coding and accounting treatments.
  • Manage intercompany transactions.
  • Lead monthly close in accordance with the group reporting schedule.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and provide insight on budgeting and forecasting variances.
  • Work transitions and implementations.
  • Work with the external group currently managing the finance process and lead the closing process as well as the technical accounting consideration.
  • Migrate balances and manage going forward.
  • Finance setup for any new label businesses in the pipeline.
  • Finance point of contact.
  • Respond to annual external audit and quarterly reviews.
  • Address periodic finance inquiries from the internal management.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship internally with the EMC/Taiwan finance team as well as with various stakeholders including headquarter, business units, vendors, etc.
  • Standardize and streamline close processes where possible to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years working hands on in Accounting as an individual contributor.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing direct reports in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong ability in general ledger maintenance and familiarity / experience with ERP system.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data in aggregate as well as in detail.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

  • CPA
  • Bilingual in Mandarin
  • Public accounting background

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
