Pharmaceutical Industry and setting up events for HCPs is a MUST.
1 year contract.

Currently working with one of our clients seeking a Meeting and Events Manager to plan and execute high-impact internal and external events within the pharmaceutical sector. This is a remote role for someone within EST zone with up to 30% travel to oversee key events on-site.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end logistics for meetings involving up to 250 participants, including internal gatherings (sales, training, and functional meetings) and complex external events (advisory boards, investigator meetings, summits, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, logistics, and execution of pharmaceutical meetings and events, both internal and external.
  • Manage event lifecycle using CVENT, including sourcing, registration, budgeting, and reconciliation.
  • Handle venue sourcing, hotel negotiations, vendor management, on-site event delivery, and post-event reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Compliance, Finance, Travel, and other departments to ensure all processes and approvals are followed.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with spend limits, documentation, and reporting requirements.
  • Track and manage meeting budgets and contracts, ensuring timely reconciliation and adherence to corporate policies.
  • Support change management and continuous improvement initiatives within the meetings and events team.
  • Work independently or within cross-functional teams to deliver events with precision and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in corporate event/meeting management within pharma industry
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing pharmaceutical industry events (e.g., advisory boards, clinical and investigator meetings).
  • Proficient with CVENT and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of HCP compliance, pharma meeting regulations, and spend tracking.
  • Exceptional organizational, budgeting, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Professional communication and discretion when handling sensitive event logistics and interactions.
