Maintaining Food Quality and Safety: Ensuring all food meets quality standards, following proper food handling and safety standards (including temperature control and avoiding cross-contamination), and properly storing and labeling ingredients using methods like FIFO (First In, First Out).
Kitchen Organization and Cleanliness: Keeping the workstation and surrounding kitchen areas clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift and at closing. This includes cleaning equipment, dishes, and surfaces.
Inventory Management: Assisting with managing ingredient levels, restocking items as needed, and rotating stock to maintain freshness.
Team Collaboration: Working effectively with the kitchen team, including cooks and managers, communicating efficiently to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.
Opening and/or Closing Procedures: Completing specific opening and/or closing tasks as assigned, such as setting up or breaking down workstations and cleaning various kitchen components.
