Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Kitchen Manager located in Durango, CO. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, assisting with food preparation and cooking, ensuring food quality and safety, managing inventory, food orders, prep planning, and supporting the manager in culinary management duties. The role also involves training kitchen staff, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

 

Our restaurant isn't a classic full-service restaurant as we only cook 3 days/week and prep 2 days/week. Managerial duties include being present for days in the kitchen and more time out of the kitchen to complete administrative tasks.

 

Qualifications

  • Skills in Food Preparation, Cooking, and Food & Beverage management
  • Ability to ensure Food Quality and maintain food safety standards
  • Experience in Culinary Management
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant certifications in food safety and culinary training are a plus
