Job Description

Newell Corporation is currently hiring CNC Machinists for 2nd Shift. Newell Corp offers a wide variety of welding, fabricating, machining, and assembly services at our facility located in Arlington, WA.

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting the design specifications, adjusting the machine cutting paths, running the machines, and performing quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

The CNC Machinist will:

Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling.
Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
Input the product design into the computer modeling software.
Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
Check machinery daily to guarantee functionality.
Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
Ensure that the results of machining process align with specifications.
Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.

CNC Machinist Preferred Skills/Experience:

3+ years’ CNC experience
Familiarity with CAD/CAM programs such as Mastercam/NX/FeatureCAM
Experience setting up CNC Machines
Experience selecting and monitoring holders and cutting tools to complete machining operations
Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, bore gages and calipers to inspect components during setup and in process.
Familiarity with G & M code so that errors can found and/or addressed during machine operation.

Pay Range: $25/hr - $45/hr
