We are a small, family-owned business specializing in the manufacturing of high-quality wood flooring and moulding products. With a reputation built on craftsmanship, integrity, and personalized service, we are looking for a driven and hands-on Production Manager to join our team and play a key role in helping us grow our operations while maintaining the values and quality that define our brand.

Position Summary

The Production Manager will oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing floor, leading a small team to ensure efficient, high-quality production of wood flooring and moulding. This role will balance hands-on leadership with strategic planning, driving continuous improvement, optimizing workflow, and collaborating with ownership to scale the business sustainably.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities, including cutting, milling, finishing, and packaging of wood products

• Ensure production goals are met in terms of quality, output, and deadlines

• Lead, train, and motivate production team members to achieve high performance and safety standards

• Implement and improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste

• Monitor inventory of raw materials and finished goods; coordinate with procurement and sales as needed

• Collaborate with ownership on scheduling, equipment maintenance, and long-term growth planning

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment compliant with OSHA and industry standards

• Identify and troubleshoot production issues in real time, proposing practical solutions

• Track production metrics and prepare reports for management review

• Collaborate with management on talent acquisition, maintaining employee performance reviews along with disciplinary actions when needed. 

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role, preferably in wood products or a related industry

• Strong working knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, and finishing techniques

• Experience in small business environments, where flexibility and a team-oriented attitude are essential

• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams in a hands-on setting

• Understanding of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles a plus

• Basic computer skills; experience with word processing, excel, google docs, gmail

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
