We are looking for assistance in our Estimating Department, specifically preparing detailed take offs and preparation of material quotes. The ideal candidate should have experience with reading & understanding blue-prints, working digitally, and have a working knowledge of Excel. If you are detail-oriented, organized and work well with deadlines please reach out. Knowledge of Division 8 (doors, frames, and hardware) or other construction estimating is a plus, but not required.

Job Description

Seeking a highly-motivated, detailed candidate for Estimating Doors, Frames & Hardware on large scale landmark buildings across the United States.

• Learning new and innovating products related to Doors, Frames, and Hardware.
• Reviewing architectural drawings and specifications for large scale buildings and calculating the material required to furnish the Division 8 Scope of Doors, Frames and Hardware.
• Organizing information into material groups to calculate pricing.
• Providing customers with a well-qualified and clearly written proposal for the material being priced.

Basic Skills Required

• Ability to identify, understand, and organize detailed information.
• Capability to multitask, knowing that you may be working on many projects in the same time period.
• Works well with others and is a team player.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel - Writing and receiving emails. Creating and manipulating Bid Proposals in Word, in addition to Excel tables with basic formulas.

Additional Skills (Not required, but a plus)

• Any experience in the Construction industry.
• Experience working with “Bluebeam Revu”.
• Experience working with “On-Screen Take Off” or other estimating software.
• Experience with estimating material.
• Customer Service or Sales experience.
