Northtowns Neurosurgery is a new solo private practice in Buffalo, New York that is looking for a high-quality Medical Assistant/Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing team! Dr. Joseph Shehadi, MD is an experienced neurosurgeon relocated to his hometown of Buffalo.

Ideal Characteristics/ Requirements include: compassion, patience, great communication and organizational skills. Must be able to multi -task. Required a Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics or pain management. Preferred experience in a surgical office for 2 years. Well versed in using EMR, in particular eclinicalWorks. Preferred experience in front/back office.

Position Details:

• Start-date: August 15, 2025

Work Schedule: 4 days a week, 830am to 5:00pm, Mon through Thursday (Fridays off)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform standard medical assistant duties including: Patient check in and check out. Manage patient appointments. Incoming and outgoing referrals. Answering phones. Taking patient vital signs.
