We’re hiring reliable and hardworking individuals in Lafayette, Indiana to assist with general labor and light maintenance tasks. From assembling furniture and minor repairs to unloading sofas from trailers and organizing units—you’ll be a key part of keeping operations moving efficiently.

Location: Lafayette, IN
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Work Type: General Labor + Light Maintenance

Job Summary:

In this role, you’ll perform a mix of general labor and basic maintenance duties. Responsibilities include unloading furniture (primarily sofas) from trailers, organizing storage units, and assembling items like beds, desks, and tables. You’ll also tackle small repair tasks such as caulking, drywall patching, and light carpentry. This is a hands-on position that requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload furniture (sofas, tables, mattresses) from semi-trailers
• Move and organize furniture into designated units
• Assemble furniture including beds, coffee tables, kitchen tables, desks, etc.
• Perform small maintenance and repair tasks (caulking, drywall patching, light carpentry)
• Assist with basic installations as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow safety procedures while lifting and using tools
• Support additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience with general labor, furniture assembly, or basic maintenance
• Comfortable lifting and moving heavy items (including sofas and mattresses)
• Basic knowledge of tools and small repairs (caulking, drywall, carpentry)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a team
• Able to stand, lift, and bend throughout the shift
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks
