Job Description

Newell Corporation is currently hiring CNC Machinists for our CNC lathe department. Newell Corp offers a wide variety of welding/fabricating/machining & assembly services at our facility located in Arlington, WA.

Our CNC lathe machinists are responsible for taking seed CAM files, setting up the machine to these files and operating the machine to complete and inspect large forged, cast and billet components accurately and efficiently.

The CNC Machinist (Lathe) will:

Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling.
Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
Check machinery daily to guarantee functionality.
Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
Ensure that results of machining process align with specifications.
Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.

CNC Machinist Preferred Skills/Experience:

5+ years’ CNC Machining experience
Familiarity with CAD/CAM programs such as Mastercam/NX/FEATURECAM
Experience setting up CNC vertical and horizontal lathes to machine forgings/castings/billets to minimize run-out, straightness and surface finishes
Experience selecting and monitoring holders and cutting tools to complete machining operations
Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, bore gauges and calipers to inspect components during setup and in process
Familiarity with G & M code

Pay Range: $25/hr - $45/hr
