AV Project Engineer - Contract to Hire Opportunity
- Remote role with Travel based out of Houston or Dallas, TX.
- Projected Start Date will be in August 2025
- Travel: Flexibility and the ability to travel are essential to this role.
- Work Environment: Office-based / remote

- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position.
- Preferably oil and gas industry experience
SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE
- The AV Project Engineer will be part of the Solutions team, developing and supporting solutions for customers by working closely with the Sales, America Operations, and PMO teams in dealing with requests from new and existing customers, driving excellence throughout the team.
- The AV Project Engineer's role consists of managing the technical details of production and service aspects of projects, including all phases from development, planning, and execution.
- This role offers the opportunity to participate in ongoing training and development to keep you up to date with the latest technologies in the Video Conferencing and AV market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide technical oversight of a project from conception through installation and completion
- Review hour estimation for work based on needs analysis, scope of work, and bid requirements
- Utilize your AV engineering skills and technical knowledge to oversee customer requests and ensure that expectations are met.
- Act as AV technical point of contact for implementation and design activities with customers and onsite staff as requested, coordinating the projects in the US region.
- Technical skills and understanding of VC solutions and IT network infrastructures.
- Responsible for technical assistance on RFQs based on surveys and designs, involvement in hardware procurement, and approval of BOMs.
- Accountable for coordination of project plans as part of the overall project programs.
- Where applicable, provide technical governance for client's plans regarding installation and configuration of a wide range of VC and AV solutions, dealing directly with the customer on requests.
- Site surveys, project coordination, and commissioning will form part of this role, which will involve travel to client sites as necessary.
- Coordinate and track project progress and schedules with the US Operations and PMO teams.
- Assemble, draft, edit, and review reports, customer quotes, and technical documents. ● Work directly with global partners on procurement and account management.
COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position.
- Preferably oil and gas industry experience
- Technical knowledge and proven experience of VC and AV industry brands.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Audio Visual and Video Collaboration industry
- Platform/brand experience: Zoom, MS Teams, Google, Extron, Crestron, Shure, AMX, Biamp
- Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs
- Assertive with client satisfaction orientation
- Demonstrate good team leadership, motivation ability, and business acumen
- Advanced verbal and written communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Strong business acumen and a good understanding of general technology concepts
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain positive working relationships with both internal teams and external customer
- Innovative, with the ability to implement problem-solving initiatives.
- Flexibility regarding working hours and willingness to travel when needed.
- High level of professionalism and customer awareness
- Full clean driving license, current passport.
