Job Details

Our client, a leading counseling firm, is seeking a part-time Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) to join its team. The position is fully onsite, and the pay rate is $25-30 per hour. 

Schedule: Four days per week, up to 5.5 hours per day- primarily daytime hours which includes time for paperwork completion. 

Brief Job Description

• Work in a classroom setting supporting up to 12 participants 

• Deliver direct client services (no home visits) 

• Collaborate with team on program operations 

• Maintain accurate documentation 

Requirements 

•  CSAC certification and classroom experience

• Must have a bachelor's degree in a human service field or special education from an accredited college 

• at least one year of substance abuse disorder treatment experience and group facilitation experience 

• Must possess a Virginia CASAC or CASAC-Supervisee Certification 

• Experience providing individual, couples, and/or group counseling to diverse populations

• CPR/First-Aid Certification 

• De-escalation techniques (TOVA training) 

• Must clear criminal background and CPS registry check 

• Online record-keeping experience preferred 

• Must pass the Commonwealth of Virginia background check
