Job Description

We are seeking a Part Time Child Care Assistant to join our team! You will assist in the development and supervision of children.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and interact with children in a safe and compassionate manner
Implement creative activities to assist with child development
Create a positive and nurturing environment for children
Perform a variety of tasks, such as dressing, changing, feeding, bathing, and overseeing play
be a team minded worker
Assist in maintaining a sanitary and safe environment

Qualifications:

Previous experience with childcare or other related fields
Passionate about working with children
Ability to build rapport with children and their parents
Positive and patient demeanor
be able to pass Mo State licensing required background screenings
Have or be willing to get CPR and First aid certification
Be will to participate in MO State Licensing required professional development

Home Away From Home has been serving families and children in Maplewood since 1996. We strive to be considered an extension of the families we serve. We are licensed for a maximum of 13 children between 6 weeks and 6 years of age and operate in a house that has been converted into a child care facility. The children arrive daily to a warm welcoming environment where they are able to learn through their interactions with loving staff, an interesting environment and with other children across developmental levels.
