Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager with a strong background in HVAC sales and business operations to lead our residential and commercial HVAC company. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, overseeing daily operations, and managing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in HVAC sales, strategic leadership skills, and the ability to enhance customer relationships while ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Lead and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth in both residential and commercial HVAC services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, property managers, and commercial clients.
Oversee the development of pricing structures, proposals, and sales presentations to close deals.
Implement customer acquisition and retention programs to expand market share.
Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
Operational Leadership:
Oversee daily HVAC operations, including service, maintenance, installation, and dispatching.
Ensure all work complies with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Optimize workflow and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Manage inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships to control costs.
Financial & Performance Management:
Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and profit margins.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue, profitability, and efficiency metrics.
Work with ownership to develop and execute growth strategies and expansion plans.
Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales and operations team.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Set sales targets and implement incentive programs to drive performance.
Ensure compliance with HR policies and labor regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years of HVAC sales experience with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
3+ years of management experience in the HVAC or related service industry.
Strong business acumen, P&L management, and strategic planning skills.
Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
Knowledge of HVAC software, CRM systems, and lead generation platforms.
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Understanding of EPA regulations, local building codes, and industry best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
