Shel-Bar Electronic Industries Ltd. is seeking a reliable and experienced Accounts & Administration Coordinator to join our team in Airdrie, Alberta. This full-time position supports both the accounting and administrative functions of the company, with a focus on full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, and cross-functional office coordination. Pay is competitive and based on your experience and will be discussed during the interview.
As our company continues to grow, this role is essential in helping maintain organizational structure and operational continuity. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to manage a variety of responsibilities with professionalism and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and tax filings
Monitor cash flow and prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries
Coordinate invoicing for projects and job tracking using Simpro
Match purchase orders with invoices and maintain ledger accuracy
Oversee deposits and manage office expense tracking
Maintain up-to-date and organized financial records and document control
Administrative & Operational Support
Assist with daily administrative tasks, including review of Simpro work orders
Provide backup support for reception when needed
Contribute to improving office systems and workflow coordination
Support internal communications and help maintain organized company records
HR & Safety (Support Role)
Assist with the onboarding of new employees and manage the 3-month and annual review documentation
Administer employee benefit and RRSP programs
Maintain documentation and compliance in Salus and ISNetworld systems
Support day-to-day safety needs, including field-level hazard assessments (FLHA), inspections, incident reporting, and safety meeting preparation
Qualifications
Experience in full-cycle accounting and administrative support
Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
Familiarity with Simpro, Salus, and ISNetworld is considered a strong asset
Organized, dependable, and capable of handling multiple priorities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in HR and/or Health and Safety coordination is a valuable asset
Previous work in a growing small business environment is preferred
