We’re looking for a motivated and results-driven Production Supervisor to assist in leading our plant operations in Conover, NC. Key Responsibilities:
As a Production Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily operations, ensuring manufacturing runs efficiently while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. Your leadership will help drive continuous improvement and foster a positive work environment.
- Lead and Develop Teams: Train, mentor, and supervise employees, ensuring clarity on duties, objectives, and performance standards.
- Optimize Operations: Assign responsibilities, create schedules, and manage workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance processes, boost efficiency, and eliminate defects.
- Plan and Execute: Develop both long- and short-term plans for staffing, equipment needs, and maintenance projects.
- Maintain Standards: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and Report: Track performance metrics, manage inventory, and submit timely reports to plant management.
- Collaborate: Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement innovative solutions.
- Safety Champion: Foster a culture of safety by enforcing guidelines and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in heavy industrial environments; familiarity with corrosive materials and fertilizer production preferred.
- OSHA experience is a strong plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas and deliver concise reports.
- Proven ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of safe work practices, including OSHA 10 and general industry safety standards.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and familiar with Dropbox.
- Collaborative mindset with a knack for problem-solving and driving results.
- Frequent communication (talking and hearing) and occasional lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds.
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, etc.).
- Combination of office and manufacturing environments with moderate to loud noise levels and potential exposure to airborne particles.
- May require occasional overtime.
