Job Description

Our client, a fast-paced and growing manufacturing company, is hiring an experienced Production Scheduler to join their team.

Compensation range of $65,000-$75,000/yr. plus a great benefits package.

Location: Broadview, IL

Hours:1st Shift Schedule- 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri.

Qualified candidate will have 2-5 years of experience with scheduling/planning in a manufacturing or production environment, with experience scheduling in an ERP/SAP System.

Job Responsibilities include:

Using ERP System, you will create work orders to meet customer production demands for blanket orders, discrete orders, consignment parts, forecasts and inventory stocking programs.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of daily and weekly schedules, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively, and production targets are met.
Monitor production progress against the schedule, identify potential bottlenecks or delays, and proactively communicate any issues to the Production Manager/Supervisor.
Collaborate with production teams, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
Maintain accurate records of production data, including inventory levels, production metrics, and resource utilization.
Preparation of reports and presentations for management to review; highlights production performance and area for improvement.
Communicate daily with plant supervisors to attain daily schedules.
Communicate changes due to changes in delivery dates and/or quantities that are delivered short or over the required amount.
Review the previous day’s production output and adjust schedules accordingly.
Daily review the release changes report to evaluate changes in sales orders. Review changes with Customer Relations if deliveries are affected.
Communicate incomplete jobs and jobs unable to run.
Work with the Purchasing Department to ensure material is scheduled to arrive when needed and correct amounts.
Work with the Maintenance Department to schedule work center down time for P.M.
Communicate with customer service representatives of any possibility of missing delivery dates due to customer drops, increases, cancellations, material or labor shortages, or quality deficiencies.
Report any errors in data collection of production quantities and inventory accuracy.
Attend daily and weekly forecast meetings to set deliveries.
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and optimize production workflow.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
2-5 years previous experience with scheduling in an ERP/SAP system.
Certification in Supply Chain preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with experience in scheduling or planning roles.

Education Level / Required Certification:

High School Diploma or equivalent Education/ Certification
