Job Description

We're looking for a Director of Administration to oversee our organization's core operational functions, including finance, human resources, and legal compliance. In this critical role, you'll ensure our financial health, uphold regulatory standards, and foster a positive, values-driven workplace culture.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be instrumental in building a transparent and accountable infrastructure that supports our mission and long-term sustainability goals. You'll collaborate across departments, manage administrative support staff, and work closely with our Board of Directors and regional Chapters.

What You'll Do:

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting.
  • Partner with external accountants on audits, reconciliations, and timely processing of payables and receivables.
  • Develop long-term financial plans and risk mitigation strategies to ensure our fiscal health.

Legal & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as nonprofit industry regulations.
  • Coordinate contract reviews, monitor policy updates, and maintain meticulous records for audits and board governance.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on risk management and confidentiality protocols.

Human Resources & Personnel Operations

  • Oversee all HR functions, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and performance policies.
  • Support leadership in implementing equitable HR practices and maintaining employee handbooks.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture, including benefits administration and facilitating staff development.

Board & Chapter Coordination

  • Support board governance by preparing materials, tracking compliance, and assisting with meeting logistics and documentation.
  • Act as a liaison to local chapters, ensuring consistent practices and alignment with national priorities.

Team Management & Culture

  • Supervise the Office Manager and other administrative support staff, fostering an effective and aligned team.
  • Cultivate a team-oriented, mission-driven work environment focused on transparency, responsiveness, and operational excellence.

What You'll Bring:

  • At least seven (7) years of experience in nonprofit administration, finance, or operations leadership.
  • Must have HR operations and Financial operations experience.
  • Strong expertise in financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and HR management.
  • Experience working with nonprofit boards and a solid understanding of governance best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams.
  • A strong passion for social impact and equity, with the ability to build systems that drive our mission forward.

Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience
