Camp Rancho Framasa is an inclusive, residential camp, located in south central Indiana, operated by the Catholic Youth Organization since 1946. Serving participants of all ages in school year and summer camp programs.

Responsibilities

The Life Assistant will provide direct support to an adult male camp staff member who has Down Syndrome. This position includes: 1. assistance with daily living tasks, which includes shopping, cleaning, and cooking. 2. scheduling work and non-work time. 3. training and working alongside the individual as a job coach in the camp environment (programs, food service, office).

Details & Requirements

• Applicants should have experience working with adults who have disabilities, be first aid and CPR certified or be willing to obtain and have reliable transportation.
• Volunteers of America training required and offered after being hired by CYO Camp.
• $25 per hour.
• This position is seasonal and part time. Spring, summer, and fall require 15-32 hours per week with some weeks off. Minimal hours in the winter. Opportunuty to do other camp work during off weeks, if interested.
• Start date is negotiable preferably late July or early August 2025.
