Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Shift: 1st Shift Hybrid 2 days onsite,

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support our team as we build a modern data system using Snowflake (a cloud-based data platform).

• Understanding business needs:
  You'll work closely with business teams and product owners to understand what kind of data they need, and how that data will be used.
• Collecting and documenting data requirements:
  Your main task will be to gather information and write down clear details about what data we need to collect, from where (data source), how it should be organized (data mapping), and how it fits into our overall structure (data domains).
• Helping build a smart data system:
  We're creating a centralized place (called a Data Lake) to store all business data. Your job is to help plan how that data will move from various systems into this new data platform (called Snowflake).
• Working with technical teams:
  You'll coordinate with architects (the system designers) and developers to make sure everyone is aligned on how the data should flow.
• Technical background is helpful, but not required:
  If you know some basic SQL (used to read or write data), that's a bonus-but this role does not require you to be a developer or write complex code.

We need someone who can act as the bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring that all data we need is correctly identified, organized, and prepared to move into our new data system.

• Focuses on understanding business needs
• Works closely with stakeholders to define problems and suggest solutions.
• Creates business requirements documents, use cases, and process flows.
• Less technical, more focused on process and stakeholder communication.

• Focuses on data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and metrics.
• Uses tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL to generate insights.
• Often writes complex queries and builds visualizations.
• More technical and data/reporting-focused, not focused on system-level documentation or integrations.

• Acts as a bridge between business and technical teams.
• Focuses on how systems work, how data flows between them, and how to build integrations.
• Gathers and documents technical requirements, especially for data platforms like Snowflake, Data Warehouses, or Data Lakes.
• Works closely with architects and developers to define source-to-target mappings, data domains, and system-level logic.
