 Police Officer- The City of Charles City pop. (7652) is seeking qualified candidates for Public Safety Officer. The testing will be held on September 7th, 2019.  A Public Safety Officer is a police officer who is also trained in minimal firefighting.  Candidates must be 21 years old  for employment and possess a high school diploma or GED.  All applicants must successfully complete civil service qualifying requirements which include, physical agility testing, written aptitude test and oral interview. Successful candidates must be able to obtain Iowa Law Enforcement Academy certification within one year of hire paid for by the city.
