We are seeking a Controller to oversee financial operations across all three companies and help us maintain smart, sustainable growth.

This position is located at:

• 254 Taconic Business Park Rd, Manchester Center, VT 05255

As Controller, you’ll serve as a key member of the management team, responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational accounting. You’ll also supervise the accounting staff, manage cash flow, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations)
• Manage monthly and year-end closings and financial reporting
• Develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations
• Manage cash flow across multiple entities
• Provide financial insights to support leadership decision-making
• Supervise and mentor accounting and admin staff
• Coordinate with external accountants and advisors

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience (controller or senior accountant level)
• Experience with QuickBooks and Excel
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
• Ability to manage multiple business entities

Preferred:

• CPA or CMA designation
• Experience in construction, service, or trades-based businesses
• Familiarity with Vermont state tax regulations
