Center for Pain Control is a private pain management facility located in West Reading specializing in patient centered care offering a multimodal approach to address the needs of patients with chronic pain. The PA will work under the supervision of a licensed pain management physician, providing comprehensive care for patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in interventional procedures, medication management.

Requirements:

  • Active PA license in PA
  • Active DEA license in PA
  • Experience with Pain Management preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
  • Strong communication and clinical skills

Job Type: Part-time or Full-time available no evenings or weekends

Pay: $100,000 + per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments specific to pain complaints.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Assist with and perform interventional procedures (e.g., trigger point injections, joint injections, nerve blocks) as permitted by state law and training.
  • Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with state regulations and practice protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families about pain management plans, medications, and non-pharmacological options.
  • Monitor and manage patients with chronic pain, including follow-up visits and medication management.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, behavioral health professionals, and other specialists to ensure a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, compliance audits, and continuing education to stay current on best practices in pain medicine.
