Summary

Skidloadersplus, is seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to oversee our service operations and manage our talented team of technicians. The Shop Foreman will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective repair and maintenance of construction equipment, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of service technicians in the repair, maintenance, and diagnostics of construction equipment, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Coordinate work schedules, job assignments, and prioritize service orders to ensure timely and efficient job completion.
• Ensure that all safety procedures and company policies are adhered to within the shop environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to technicians to improve skill sets and maintain high operational standards.
• Collaborate with parts department to ensure availability of necessary parts for service jobs.
• Maintain accurate service records, including labor hours, parts used, and other job-related documentation.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues in collaboration with technicians.
• Review and approve service orders, ensuring proper billing and adherence to customer specifications.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Provide leadership in dealing with customer concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Monitor inventory and order parts, tools, and equipment as needed to ensure the shop has everything it requires for smooth operations.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in construction equipment repair.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in the repair and maintenance of construction equipment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in heavy equipment repair is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a shop environment.
• Proficiency with shop management software and computer systems.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, OEM-specific certifications) preferred but not required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
