We are seeking a Controller to become an integral part of our team! You will oversee financial activities and personnel as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes, or recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company
• Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
• Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
• Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
• Provides management with timely review of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
• Advises management of desirable operational adjustments due to tax codes revisions.
• Arranges for audits of company's accounts.
• Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions.
• Supervises upgrade and continued company payroll system.
• Supervises upgrade and continued support of accounting software
• Directly supports employees in the accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable departments.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work, appraisals, disciplining employees, addressing complaint and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

• Four to ten years previous experience in accounting management or other related fields
• Manufacturing background and/or wire and cable experience preferred
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Proficient in Microsoft applications
