Manual Lathe and Mill Machinist

Join a dynamic team dedicated to repairing and providing remanufactured, aftermarket, and OEM hydraulic units and components for a wide range of industrial applications, including paper mills, sawmills, steel mills, recycling plants, oil & gas, and mobile equipment such as construction, utility, mining, agricultural, and marine equipment.

Compensation: $30 - $40 per hour DOE

Schedule: Swing shift, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

Location: Tacoma, WA.

This is a direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and troubleshoot manual mills and lathes to produce quality parts with tight tolerances.
• Lead a team of 5-10 machinists and welders, providing guidance and support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work area.
• Machine various materials, including steel, aluminum bronze, and cast iron.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of machining experience (preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and machining abilities.
• Knowledge of cylinder construction techniques.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb a ladder.
• Leadership experience managing 5-10 employees.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
