Assistant Superintendent – Community Solar Projects (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Northern Illinois & St. Louis | $35–$40/hr Contract | $70K–$85K Salary upon Conversion

ParkerBeth is hiring four field-based Assistant Superintendents to support a series of community solar projects throughout Northern Illinois (Aurora, Naperville, DeKalb, Joliet, Antioch, Zion, Waukegan) and one additional project in the St. Louis metro area. These are contract-to-hire roles with a clear path to permanent employment, supporting one of the most respected solar EPCs in the U.S.

About the Role
You’ll serve as the primary onsite lead for your assigned solar project, supporting subcontractor coordination, safety enforcement, and daily progress tracking. This is not a desk job—our ideal candidate thrives on active construction sites and brings a combination of structure, motivation, and leadership to the work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily onsite supervision for community solar construction projects
• Coordinate with subcontractors across civil, structural, and electrical trades
• Monitor site safety, enforce compliance, and manage basic field reporting
• Review construction plans and ensure execution aligns with project documents
• Communicate regularly with the home office and escalate issues as needed

Who We’re Looking For

• Background in construction (civil, structural, electrical, solar, or HVAC)
• Prior experience managing crews or subcontractors on active job sites
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Coachable, reliable, and able to work independently on site
• Comfortable with early start times and field hours (6:30 AM – 3:30 PM)

Job Type & Compensation

• Contract-to-hire (initial 6-month contract period)
• Pay during contract: $35–$40/hour all-inclusive
• Salary upon conversion: $70,000–$85,000 depending on experience
• Eligible for full-time benefits upon conversion
• Optional benefits available through ParkerBeth during the contract phase
• Overtime potential on select Saturdays

Location Requirements

• Three openings in Northern Illinois (must be local to one or more project cities)
• One opening in the St. Louis metro area
• No relocation available; must be able to report directly to project site
